Our first visit and we were fearing the worst from the wether. When we flew across to sign for the house in January it had been deathly cold. Without any central heating and without being occupied for months we were prepared with thermals galore. In the end it wasn’t too bad. The sun shone most days and whilst the evenings were cool we acclimatised pretty quickly. We learnt to light the stove after a bit of trial and error and thanks to the previous owner, we had a delivery of wood awaiting us too.
The main house has two main parts, the “new house” and the “old house”.
